
Jennifer White is an experienced and well-respected third-party investigator and lawyer who specializes in safe sport, sexual misconduct, harassment, and maltreatment investigations. She is brought in as an independent investigator to look into complaints, determine what happened, and assess whether any rules, policies, or laws were broken.
Jennifer conducts third-party investigations into harassment and violence, civil sexual assault, misconduct, code of conduct violations, poisoned work environments, and other serious or harmful behaviour. She has a specific expertise and long-standing focus on harassment and abuse in sport and conducts independent investigations for the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES).
With over twenty years of experience, Jennifer is trusted by organizations that need clear and reliable findings in difficult situations. After a successful legal career, she has worked exclusively in investigations since 2016. Her work is known for being careful, detailed, and fair.
SportSafe Investigations Group, founded by Jennifer, is the first all-sport, fully independent investigations firm in Canada. The firm focuses only on investigations and does not provide risk, liability, or advocacy services.
Jennifer previously worked in-house with the Ottawa Police Service and has carried out numerous reviews and investigations for the Civilian Review and Complaints Commission for the RCMP. She was also on the SDRCC and Office of the Sport Integrity Commissioner rosters for five years.

Jennifer holds a Master’s in Law (LL.M. – ADR) from Osgoode Hall, a Certificate in Adjudication from Osgoode Hall, and her AWI-CH designation through the Association of Workplace Investigators following advanced training in Scottsdale, Arizona. She has also completed mediation training through CDR Associates in Boulder, Colorado and interest-based negotiation training through Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation.
She has been featured nationally in multiple media interviews, including Global News, CBC The National, and CTV National News, speaking on issues related to investigations, harassment, and organizational accountability.
Jennifer brings a strong understanding of sport from personal experience as an athlete, coach, and parent. Her favourite sports include ringette, hockey, rugby, and triathlon
